Security Features When You Log In

Westminster Savings was one of the first financial institutions in Canada to implement advanced security features when logging in to Online Banking.

To use Online Banking you must:

  • Enter your MEMBER CARD® number
  • Set up security questions and a personalized security picture
  • Enter a confidential Personal Access Code (PAC)

Once you've completed the simple one-time set up process, you can log in to Online Banking with two clicks of your mouse right from our homepage.

Use Your MEMBER CARD® to Log In

We've filled in the first eight numbers of your MEMBER CARD® for you already: just fill in the rest and click the Login button.

Use the Add A Memorized Card feature to save your MEMBER CARD® number on your computer so that you don't need to enter the number each time you log in.

If you are a Westminster Savings member you can order a new MEMBER CARD® for free by calling our Member Service Centre at 604-517-0100 (toll-free outside the lower mainland at 1-877-506-0100) or visit the closest branch.

A Personalized Security Image & Phrase

The first time that you log in to Online Banking you will be asked to select an image and enter a short phrase of your choosing.  Each time that you log in to Online Banking after that we'll show you the image and phrase that you selected.

Only you and Westminster Savings knows what image and phrase you selected. This tells you that you are on a legitimate Westminster Savings website and protects you from phishing scams.

Three Personal Security Questions

The first time that you log in to Online Banking you will be asked to select three personal security questions and to enter the answers to these questions. These are questions that only you may know the answer to, and they further protect your accounts from being compromised.

If you're using a computer that an unauthorized user can't access you can permanently register this computer to skip the security question when you log in. Only do this on computers that you can trust, and not on publicly accessible computers.

A Confidential Personal Access Code (PAC)

When you sign up for Online Banking you will be assigned a unique and confidential personal access code (PAC). Using your MEMBER CARD® and your PAC you will set up your security image and phrase and your security questions when you first log in, and you will continue to use your PAC each time that you log in to Online Banking.

You can change your Personal Access Code (PAC) any time in Online Banking in the Member Services section.

Log In With Two Mouse Clicks

If you have registered your computer you can log in with two clicks of your mouse:

  1. Enter your MemberCard number on our homepage, and click Login
  2. Note the security image and phrase to make sure you're on a legitimate website, enter your Personal Access Code (PAC), and click Login

That's it! You've logged in to Online Banking!
