1. What do I need to log into Online Banking?

  • You will need to use the last 8 digits of your MemberCard and a Personal Access Code (PAC)
  • The PAC is an 11 – 30 alphanumeric code that includes a minimum of 1 special character (refer to this page for acceptable characters), 1 lower case letter, 1 upper case letter, 1 number
  • The first time you set up online banking you will be prompted to set up 3 security questions and answers
  • Once you’ve logged into online banking successfully, you can use the same log in information for the WSCU mobile banking and for the WSCU app

2. Do I need to have a physical MemberCard to log into Online Banking?

  • No, you do not require a physical MemberCard to access Online Banking, just a MemberCard number
  • If you don’t have a MemberCard or a MemberCard number, visit the nearest branch or call the Member Service Centre at 604-517-0100.

3. I have a MemberCard but have not registered for Online Banking, how do I register?

You can register by clicking on the “Not Registered?” link within the Online Banking portal. You will be asked to:

  • Verify your identity
  • Answer 3 or 4 questions based on your TransUnion credit history
  • Create a Personal Access Code (PAC)
  • On the Login Access Agreement page, accept the Terms and Conditions.
  • On the Setup Increased Authentication page, select and answer 3 security challenge questions.
  • You will then be redirected to your Account Summary page

4. Why does the PAC have to be 11 – 30 alphanumeric characters?

  • Online fraud and identity theft is on the rise and Westminster Savings is using industry leading methods to protect your information
  • A PAC that is longer in length and includes alphanumeric complexity will make it very difficult for unauthorized access to your accounts

5. If I have forgotten my password, how do I reset it?

  • Within the Online Banking portal, there is a “Forgot your PAC?” feature.
  • Enter your full 16 digit MemberCard number.
  • You will be asked to verify your identity.
  • You will be prompted to answer 3 or 4 questions specific to your TransUnion credit history.
  • You will then be asked to reset your password.

6. Why do I require security questions and a PAC? I've never had a problem using Online Banking before. Why do we need all of this extra security?

  • Security questions are an additional layer of security to help protect your financial information
  • They provide an additional way for Westminster Savings to verify that an authorized person is accessing their accounts
  • Note: You may not be asked to answer your security challenge questions each time you log in; this will depend on if you have registered your computer or if you are using a public computer

7. Can I change my security challenge questions after I've set them up the first time?

  • Once you have set up your security challenge questions the first time you can change these in Online Banking in the "Member Services" section
  • Three security questions are required for the increased authentication

8. Why do I get an error message when I try to log in?

  • Make sure that you have entered only the last 8 digits of your MemberCard number
  • Make sure your PAC is entered correctly
  • Click on the Help links within the message for additional information

9. Can I view my business accounts in Online Banking?

  • If you are a signer on a business and a personal account you can consolidate your accounts and view both at the same time
  • You can view all of your Westminster Savings accounts, pending transactions and investment accounts all in one consolidated view in Online Banking

10. How do I consolidate my accounts online?

  • Once logged into your business account, you will find the option on the menu on the left side of the screen
  • Follow the prompts and you will be able to link your personal account to your business account
