Westminster Savings' Member Service Centre celebrates its one millionth call

New Westminster, B.C. – March 9, 2016 - Westminster Savings' Member Service Centre (MSC) celebrated its one millionth call last week – a fantastic milestone according to President and CEO Gavin Toy.

Mr. Toy congratulated staff at the call centre stating: "The MSC provides valuable assistance and service to our members. We know from member feedback that our MSC team is an invaluable link between the credit union and our members, and positively impacts the delivery of an exceptional member experience."

The MSC, which first opened its phone lines on June 1, 2005, helps members with a wide range of services from account balances and transfers, to mortgage applications and investments. On average, it handles almost 80,000 calls a year with more than 81% of calls answered in 20 seconds or less. The MSC is open from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

To celebrate this milestone and to thank our members for their ongoing support, Westminster Savings awarded the one millionth caller to the MSC with a $1,000 term deposit. Laura Ortner, who has been a member at Westminster Savings for more than 22 years, was the lucky recipient of the gift!
