Westminster Savings is collecting donations to assist those impacted by devastating fire in Langley

Funding will assist individuals and families displaced by the fires

Surrey, B.C., December 13, 2016 – A donation of $5,000 to Sources Community Resources Society by Westminster Savings Credit Union (Westminster Savings) will assist those impacted by a devastating fire at a condominium complex in Langley on Sunday. The credit union is also accepting monetary donations by the public at any of its branches.

All residents of the building have been evacuated and the city is working with various service providers to coordinate immediate assistance for those who have been left homeless.

“Our thoughts are with our members and neighbours who have been impacted by this devastating situation, and our deepest thanks go out to the fire fighters, first responders and volunteers for their support for the affected families and individuals,” says Gavin Toy, President and CEO, Westminster Savings.

Those wishing to make a donation may do so at any branch of Westminster Savings (please reference account #333975101). To find a Westminster Savings branch, please click here or visit www.wscu.com.
