Westminster Savings Foundation donates $20,000 to Canucks Autism Network

Funding will support high-quality, adaptive sports programs for families living with autism in British Columbia

Vancouver, B.C., October 21, 2015 - More than 200 children and teens living with autism will have the opportunity to take part in high-quality, adapted soccer, skating and basketball programs thanks to a $20,000 grant from the Westminster Savings Foundation.

The funding will help support Canucks Autism Network's fall session of sports programs in Surrey, Langley, Burnaby, Pitt Meadows, Coquitlam, and Port Coquitlam. Programs run weekly for multiple weeks and are administered by trained coaches, experienced support workers and dedicated volunteers.

Canucks Autism Network (CAN) provides year-round, highly supported sports, recreation, social and arts programs for children, teens and young adults living with autism in British Columbia.
