Westminster Savings Credit Union appoints new Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate Communications

New Westminster, BC, August 26, 2013 – Westminster Savings is very pleased to announce the appointment of Diana Chan as Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate Communications.

“As part of our Executive Leadership Team, Diana holds a key role in helping to drive strategic business results and organizational culture,” said President and CEO Gavin Toy. “As Chief Human Resources Officer, Diana has executive oversight for recruitment, training and leadership development, workforce planning, compensation and benefits, labour relations, employee engagement, and corporate and internal communications. Diana also provides executive leadership for the Westminster Savings Foundation and our community giving programs.”

Ms. Chan joins Westminster Savings from Central 1 Credit Union (Central 1) where she held the position of Senior Vice President, Human Resources. Prior to joining Central 1 in 2009, Diana was with Lululemon Athletica responsible for overseeing and managing its Store Support Centre human resources team. Ms. Chan is a Chartered Accountant by training and has a very diverse set of skills and experiences. Diana spent thirteen years with global professional services firm, Ernst & Young, with four years in a leadership role with its Canadian human resources team.

Diana is a Chartered Accountant and holds an Honours Business Administration degree from the University of Western Ontario. She is very active in the community and currently is the President of Basketball BC and a Board member of YWCA Metro Vancouver. Ms. Chan assumed her new role at Westminster Savings effective August 19, 2013.
